2018 Two Hands Lily's Garden Shiraz

Grape
Shiraz / Syrah
Its Origins
Two Hands Wines was founded in early 1999 by Michael Twelftree and Richard Mintz. The original aim shared by Michael and Richard was to make the best possible Shiraz-based wines from prized Shiraz growing regions throughout Australia. Their intention was, and still is, to showcase the diversity of Australian Shiraz by highlighting regional characteristics and allowing the fruit to be the primary feature of the wines. Two Hands refers to the very personable approach taken with each parcel of grapes, no matter how big or small. The wines are carefully guided through the viticulture and winemaking process by Michael Twelftree.
What The Critics Say
92/100 RobertParker.com, Joe Czerwinski
"Deep mulberry notes mark the nose of the 2018 Lily's Garden Shiraz. Flecks of mint, cedar and cola add depth and nuance on the nose, while the medium to full-bodied palate is silky but firm, showing admirable concentration and lingering elegantly on the finish. Lovers of balanced Barossa Shiraz should beeline for the 2018 single-vineyard offerings from Two Hands, which speak to their origins and the high-quality orientation of this producer." Drink 2020 - 2027
93/100 Halliday's Wine Companion, James Halliday
"A familiar sight in a sea of unfamiliar labels, albeit with no background or vinification information. It is a full-bodied wine." Drink by 2038
96/100 Jeb Dunnuck (2017 vintage)
"Classic Syrah notes of dark black fruits, damp herbs, scorched earth, and obvious minerality give way to a medium to full-bodied beauty that is flawlessly balanced, textured, and seamless."
