2023 Louis Michel Chablis
Grape
Chardonnay
Its Origins
Jean-Loup Michel and his nephew Guillaume Gicqueau-Michel are passionate supporters of stainless steel for production of pure, clean and precise Chablis. Situated right in the heart of the village of Chablis, the family has been making wine since 1850. The 25 ha vineyard spreads over the very first slopes that were discovered by Cistercian monks in the 11th century, so there’s no lack of tradition. The domaine has developed a worldwide reputation for fine wine-making in stainless steel vats.
What The Critics Say
92/100 Decanter, Andy Howard MW (2022 vintage)
"Cool and linear, very good focus, with crisp apple acidity and mineral characters. Fine and elegant. A thoroughbred, needs a few months to open out but has lots of potential."
