Lustau Moscatel Emilin Sherry 375ml
Grape
Moscatel
Its Origins
Bodegas Lustau was founded in 1896 by Mr. José Ruiz-Berdejo. It was a modest beginning: José, a court clerk, cultivated the vines on his land, known as Nuestra Señora de la Esperanza. In the house at the vineyard, he produced the wines he later sold to the major exporting wineries. A sweet sherry made from Moscatel grapes, cultivated in Lustau's Las Cruces vineyard, laid out in the sun until they become raisins. Fermentation is arrested early, in order to keep the natural sugar of the grapes. It has a dark mahogany colour, with a green-yellow rim. Intense citrus and floral aromas. Soft and sweet on the palate, it is reminiscent of honey, citrus and spices. Very sweet and long on the palate, but with a balance of natural acidity.
