2023 Brennan Gibbston Blanc de Noir

A gorgeous Blanc de Noir from a boutique house in Gibbston. Brennan are old hands in Central Otago Pinot noir. But this one is pressed off the skins and then fermented in old oak, and aged on lees, to produce a special textural white with perhaps just a slight hint of colour. A unique white for aperitif, seafood or white meats, this Blanc de Noir is a delight!

Its Origins

The Brennan Family first arrived in New Zealand from Ireland on the SS Otaki in 1877. Sean Brennan's father, Dr. Sir Murray Brennan, was born in Auckland and studied medicine at the University of Otago. He was always drawn to Central Otago and the family first purchased land here in the 1970’s. In 1994, the Brennan family bought a plot of land in Gibbston and began establishing the vineyard, planting some of the first vines in this region, and haven’t looked back.
