2023 Gerard Bertrand 6eme Sens Rose
Grape
Usually Syrah, Grenache and Cinsault
Its Origins
Wine Enthusiast named his winery Europe’s best in 2011, but Gerard Bertrand began as a rugby player representing France and Narbonne. It wasn’t until the early death of his father that he returned to take the reigns of the family operation, Domaine de Villemajou in Boutenac, Corbieres. He soon identified the potential of the Languedoc-Roussillon to produce rich yet bright, modern wines suited to world market trends and from there began acquiring labels and properties across the region. Balancing an organic and increasingly biodynamic viticulture with an evangelical zeal for exporting his Mediterranean ‘Art de Vivre’, Gerard Bertrand has quickly become one of the most important champions of that which epitomises Southern French wine of today: superb quality in quantity.

Producer Note
"Resulting from the alchemy of the climate and the earth, this rosé is the ideal consensus of the sight, the touch, the hearing, the smell and taste, and will lead you to the discovery of your your 6th sense. All organic grapes are hand-picked. The 6 ème sens is a rosé made by bleeding the vats. The is not macerated before bleeding to avoid extracting too much colour. The color is a deep pink. The nose reveals aromas of red fruit and candy aromas. On the palate, the wine has a pleasant fruit aromas. The finish is pleasantly fresh."
