New Zealand Pinot Gris is a beautiful thing. Our cooler climate brings expressive fresh fruit, while the natural acidity here means even the sweeter examples taste bright and clean. Many producers are following the trend toward drier, more floral and ‘mineral’ styles, so even inexpensive Kiwi Gris is starting to get serious and compete with the originals from Northern Italy and France’s Alsace region.
