A complex and elegant Vintage Champagne from a boutique family producer in the Champagne village of Charly-sur-Marne. This reflects the particular character of one very good harvest - the rare years of near perfect growing conditions. Here 70% Chardonnay from their top “Les Malivas” plot dominates the blend. This brings freshness and outstanding aromatic finesse. All blanced by 40% Pinot Noir and layered by many years of ageing in the cellar. Produce a wine of ready-to-drink depth and dimension with good capacity for further cellaring. Simply outstanding value for a Vintage Champagne, the Fallet Dart Millesime is a no-brainer.

Its Origins

The Fallet family comes from a long line of winegrowers that can be traced back to 1610. Claude Fallet and Pierre Fallet, nicknamed “the eldest”, are the earliest winegrowers found in the family papers. From 1903 on, Louis Fallet was awarded several prizes for the “elegance” of his wines and the mastery of his vineyard. From the start the Fallet family wanted to be a shining example amongst the champagne houses. Married in 1953, Geneviève née Dart and Gaston Fallet united their surnames to create the brand Fallet-Dart in 1970. From 1985 to 2016, Daniel and Gérard Fallet with Francine and Dominique, their respective wives, made the family business prosper. The family affair expanded from 5000 to 160000 bottles sold. The buildings were enlarged and the wines started earning themselves a name. Today, Adrien and Paul continue to perpetuate their forefathers’ values: originality and quality, innovation and respect for champagne traditions, to offer you champagnes with character that are renowned prizewinners worldwide.

What The Critics Say

Winemaker notes

"Pale yellow gold tinted robe, with fine bubbles forming a delicate and regular ribbon. The initial nose evokes fresh notes of white flowers, hawthorn, linden. It’s aniseed and iodized mineral fragrance turns towards peach, hazelnut and grapefruit notes. On the palate, the attack is fresh with a delightful salinity. The wine develops itself on the palate with acidulous grapefruit and white fruit flavours. This vintage champagne, with its light notes of dried fruits an its mineral freshness can be enjoyed on its own or matched with white meats, fish and cooked shellfish or marinated salmon with dill, fried scallops or rabbit cooked in a basil sauce."
