Mixed 6 — Old vine aromatic whites from Schoffit
John Caro
In stock
Two wonderful aromatic whites from the most hard-working vigneron in Alsace, Alexandre Schoffit. Both are from more unusual varieties and extremely old vines. 60 and 75 year old pure Auxerrois, a variety commonly confused for Pinot Blanc in the region. Then a Chasselas from 70-85 year old vines. These are the oldest vines in France of this variety more commonly seen in the mountains of Switzerland. These are both quintessential European whites with less overt fruit and more elegant structures, perfect for an apertif or enjoying with dinner. Serious whites for the discerning palate.
