Rioja is one of the rare great regions of the world that still age their wines for a extended time. Here we have two incredible Riservas, matured for years before release. Both these wines are from the legendary producer La Rioja Alta and made from mostly Tempranillo. The Martelo Riserva shows the more modern style, from a single high altitude vineyard, with very old vines and a mix of American and French oak. Then we have the iconic Vina Ardanza Riserva, a wine that has been the benchmark for decades of premium traditional Rioja.
